Sexual enhancer

Currently, the use of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE-5) is the main method of Treatment of erectile dysfunction. Drugs in this group dilate the blood vessels and improve blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which leads to the achievement and maintenance of a firm erection. Due to their rapid elimination from the body, sexual enhancers do not usually cause any serious side effects.

In Ireland, sildenafil (Viagra®), which is a PDE-5 inhibitor, is approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Sexual enhancers may differ in the active ingredient and its dosage. When choosing a drug, one should take into account the general state of health, sexual activity, severity of the disorder and individual physical characteristics.

Sildenafil

Sildenafil was the first approved selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). In 1998, the pharmaceutical company Pfizer launched a blue pill known as Viagra® that could solve most intimacy problems in men. Viagra® offers men suffering from erectile dysfunction a way to improve their potency. The active ingredient enables an erection by improving blood flow to the penis. Sildenafil begins to work 30-60 minutes after ingestion, and the normal sexual tone lasts for 4 to 6 hours.
